DJIDO

The ensemble Djido seeks to preserve the dances, songs, costumes and customs of Serbia. This group from the city of Bogatić endeavours to raise national dances to a high level of artistic interpretation. Its programs adapt for the stage the customs and traditions of the local population, while respecting the national creations and the values of Serbia. The dances and songs of this group are part of the authentic Serbian repertoire and represent the cultural identity of the people who have been living in those regions for centuries. This summer, more than 45 artists of the group Djido will perform on the stage of the RFI.
