In addition to courses and workshops, the association regularly organizes immersion trips for its members to indigenous communities in the Philippines.

Parangal brings to Fribourg the cultural heritage of various island communities: the Subanen of Lapuyan, the Tausug of Jolo, the Meranao of Lanao del Sur, and the Kalinga of the Cordillera autonomous region. Uncolonized by the Spanish, this society is organized into endogamous groups resulting from alliances between Budong ethnic groups. The variety and richness of Parangal repertoires are dazzling.
