FS Zemplín is a folk ensemble founded in 1957 in Michalovce, eastern Slovakia. It represents traditional Slovak culture, with a particular focus on the Zemplín region. It is considered one of the country’s finest folk groups. Awarded numerous prizes and distinctions for its artistic work, the group has given over 2,900 performances in Slovakia and 1,350 abroad, in 30 countries on five continents.

Slovak folklore is characterized by its dynamism, diversity and the richness of its costumes, songs and instruments, which vary from region to region.

FS Zemplín will be accompanied by exceptional string instruments, bringing with them the famous traditional cimbalom with struck strings.
