CRNA GORA

The folklore ensemble "Crna Gora" represents the traditional dances and songs of all ethnic communities of Montenegro. Its repertoire includes regional dances from Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, but it is the dances of old Montenegro that are emblematic of the group. From the end of the 19th century, we quote in particular the dances of Vrsuta and the dances of the bay of Kotor.

Crna Gora wears authentic and original costumes, with details embroidered in gold thread and ornaments very specific to Montenegrin folklore. The men wear the kapa, a cylindrical headgear of wine-lime color. The public will also be able to discover typical instruments, such as the gusle, a single-stringed bowed instrument from the Dinaric Alps, or the diple, a wind instrument from the Adriatic coast.

Crna Gora will perform for the first time in Switzerland. The troupe represented Montenegro at the CIOFF® Folkloriades in Ufa, Russia in 2020 and at the EXPO Dubai 2020 in March 2022.
